Etihad Credit lets you hold multiple vouchers in one account and spend them on flights and extras with Etihad Airways. Ready to book? Choose Etihad Credit as your form of payment when you check out on etihad.com or call us.
If you've opted for a refund or are entitled to compensation, you'll receive a voucher via email. Add the voucher to your own Etihad Credit account to pay for flights or extras, or gift it to someone else.
To redeem your voucher, follow the steps below.
1. Create an Etihad Credit account and add your voucher using the voucher number and pin - this will be emailed to you.
2. You can use Etihad Credit on etihad.com or when you call us. Pay for the full amount with your voucher or combine it wilth another payment method.
3. Log back into your Etihad Credit account at any time to check your balance, see when vouchers expire or update your details.
You can use Etihad Credit to pay for flights and extras like upgrades, seats and bags when flying with us. It’s simple – once you’re ready to check out, select Etihad Credit as your payment option, choose the credit amount you’d like to use and pay the remaining amount with your credit card.

No, you'll have two separate accounts - one for Etihad Credit and one for Etihad Guest.
Your Etihad Credit vouchers are issued in the same currency as the ticket or extra you've purchased. If that currency is different to the default currency of your Etihad Credit account, your voucher will be converted based on the current exchange rate. For example, you purchased a ticket using GBP, but your account’s default currency is AED then your voucher will be converted to AED when it's added to your account.
Your Etihad Credit account’s default currency is based on your country of residence when you set up your account. For example, if you’re currently residing in the UAE, then your default currency will be AED.
To check you balance, simply log in to your Etihad Credit account.
Once you've redeemed a voucher, it will be moved to your transaction history.
You'll need to create an Etihad Credit account to add and redeem your Etihad Credit voucher. If you already have an account, simply log in to add it.
Once you've added your Etihad Credit voucher to your Etihad Credit account, you can pay using Etihad Credit when you book online at etihad.com. Select Etihad Credit as your payment option at check out and log in with your Etihad Credit account to choose the amount you'd like to pay. You can pay the remaining balance with your preferred payment card if you have insufficient credit for the total amount.
Please note that Etihad Credit can't be used for bookings made with a travel agent.
Yes, you can pay with Etihad Credit and your preferred payment card on etihad.com. If you'd like to combine Etihad Credit with Etihad Guest Miles, please call our Contact Centre.
The validity of your Etihad Credit depends on the vouchers that have been added to your account. To check the validity of your vouchers, please log in to your Etihad Credit account.
Etihad Credit must be used before the expiry date. However, your travel can be completed as per the ticket validity.
No, Etihad Credit vouchers can't be extended after expiration.
If your ticket's been cancelled and refunded, your Etihad Credit will be returned to your Etihad Credit account, and the original expiry date will apply.
For example, if your voucher was issued on 15 August 2023 and had a one-year validity period, but your flight is cancelled on 4 February 2024, the amount will be refunded, and the credit will still expire on 14 August 2024.
If the expiry date has passed, the credit will be cancelled.
The total refund amount depends on the fare rules of your ticket. For example, if you paid eg. AED 500 using Etihad Credit for a ticket and the refund cancellation fee is AED 50, then AED 450 will be added back to your Etihad Credit account.
If you request for a refund due to flight cancellations or schedule changes initiated by Etihad, full amount will be refunded to your Etihad Credit account.
No, Etihad Credit cannot be transferred to another person.
Yes, you can use your Etihad Credit to pay for flights and extras for someone else.
Family members can book individually at etihad.com and use their Etihad Credit as preferred payment, or to book everyone on the same reservation, please call our Contact Centre.
