Plan Your Colombo Holiday

Travel to Colombo during the peak season of December to March if you want to be there for the best weather. It will be hot, but the lack of rain and humidity should make it pleasantly so rather than uncomfortable, and you should book your tickets to Colombo well in advance as this is the most popular time to visit the city. This is the best time for walking around the city and visiting museums and unique combinations of architecture from around the world. The fabulous elephant shows are also worth seeing.

Those looking for cheap hotels in Colombo may wish to consider a wetter holiday during the monsoon season when the city has far fewer local and international travellers. Chicago is primarily served by two major airports: O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Midway International Airport (MDW). It has four terminals and offers all the facilities you would expect.

Airport Transportation in Chicago

O’Hare International Airport is situated only 40 km from downtown Chicago, but the volume of traffic can lengthen the journey. Taking the train to O’Hare International Airport is not only the cheapest option, but also the fastest, with the journey taking around 45 minutes. A taxi to O’Hare International Airport can take as long as 90 minutes. Taking a shuttle or bus to O’Hare International Airport is cheaper but takes about as long as a taxi due to the same traffic problems.
