Flying
with children
and infants
Some of our airport lounges have dedicated family rooms, and we’ll invite families to board first to give you extra time to get settled. Travelling with a push chair? Check it in or let us collect it from you just before you board.
Remember to reserve your seats to guarantee that you sit together.
Lots of our team are parents themselves. That's why we take travelling with children so seriously. Here's what you can expect when you fly with us.
In Abu Dhabi, families can use our Little VIP check-in desks.
You’ll be invited to board first to give you extra time to get settled.
You can even use your push chair in the airport until it’s time to board.
Kids will be entertained for hours with activity packs created in partnership with Warner Bros WorldTM Abu Dhabi.
We’re experts at making sure everyone has a smooth journey, from youngsters to the young at heart. Here are our secrets to guarantee a hassle-free journey with kids.
If you're travelling with more than one infant under two years old, each infant must be accompanied by an adult.
Infants don't require their own seats, but you can purchase one if you'd prefer.
If you choose to purchase an additional seat for your infant, they must sit on your lap during taxi, take-off and landing, and whenever the fasten seatbelt sign is illuminated.
Alternatively, infants can stay in their own seats for the duration of the flight if they are in an approved car seat.
Check the fare type, baggage allowance and onboard rules for children and babies. Normal fare rules apply.
Checked baggage to/from USA and Canada: 23kg
Checked baggage to/from all other destinations: 10kg
Cabin baggage: One piece, 5kg
*Every infant has to be accompanied by one adult over the age of 18.
We know it’s not always easy travelling with children in tow. But with the help of Scooby-Doo and the Looney Tunes gang from Warner Bros WorldTM Abu Dhabi, we make flying with children child’s play.
Our fleece blankets will keep our youngest flyers cosy on board.
Children up to two can snuggle up with a super-soft blanket to take home, starring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety.
The Looney Tunes characters are bound to keep little ones smiling in the sky.
Our activity books, crayons and memory games for children aged three to eight are perfect for keeping small hands and minds busy on board.
Zoinks! Children aged nine to 13 will receive a Scooby-Doo backpack and passport holder – everything they need to join Scooby-Doo and his crime-solving gang.
And with our newest game on board, they’ll keep busy solving cases at Warner Bros WorldTM Abu Dhabi.
We’ve removed plastic packaging on our new children’s packs and our cozy new blankets are made from recycled materials.
You can even take our reusable cutlery home with you.
Our children's meals keep little tummies happy on board. Look out for Scooby-Doo and the Looney Tunes crew on our meal boxes and snack bags.
Please order your child's meal at least 24 hours before your flight.
Little flyers will be entertained for hours with kids' movies, TV and cartoons on E-BOX. There's also music, or games if they'd prefer something interactive.
The safety of your child is our number one priority. For infants weighing up to 11kg, our bassinets are specially designed carry-cots to help your baby sleep flat during the flight. Your baby must weigh less than 11kg and be up to 75cm tall, and they must be able to fit comfortably in the bassinet.
Our cabin crew will confirm that your infant fits comfortably and safely in the bassinet before affixing it at your seat position. You may request a baby bassinet when you book your flight or through Manage my booking. All bassinets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
For safety reasons, you may only use a bassinet when the seatbelt sign is switched off and when the cabin crew permit you to do so. When the seatbelt sign is on, you must secure your child on your lap using an infant seatbelt; our cabin crew will provide a seatbelt for you and show you how to use it. You may also use an approved car seat or child restraint device.
Children aged up to three years old travelling on a child’s ticket may use certain approved car-seats, in conjunction with our aircraft seats.
You are also permitted to carry one pushchair or carrycot or car seat for free, in addition to your child's checked baggage allowance.
You can travel with more than one child as long as they are aged two years or older.

Accessories that attach to any part of the seat are not permitted.
