Zayed Sports City offers an unparalleled tennis experience in Abu Dhabi, with eight practice courts, a tennis stadium and the city’s best coaches. Guests can book a tennis court for the afternoon to challenge their loved ones to a friendly game. Alternatively, improve your serve with tennis lessons that cater to all ages, led by certified coaches. Zayed Sports City is equipped for professionals too, with the Mubadala World Tennis Championship held here every year.
Zayed Sports City caters to all types of fitness regimes. Put yourself to the test with F45 classes. This intense 45-minute workout targets your whole body through a mix of circuit and high intensity interval training (HIIT) style exercises. Meanwhile, PUNCH creates an innovative and immersive way to get fit, with boxing workouts to energetic music and a dazzling light show. The Room fitness club is also located at Zayed Sports City and hosts traditional classes in a luxurious setting .
Keep fit and stay cool with the range of ice sports at Zayed Sports City. Don your skating shoes and head onto the rink for a daytime or evening session. New to the blades? It’s possible to practice your moves beforehand with an ice skating lesson at the ZSC Academy. Alternatively, if you're already a pro, join Abu Dhabi Ice Sports Club. There are regular events for figure skating, ice hockey and ringette here.
As one of the largest venues in the UAE with 45,000 seats, Zayed Sports City Stadium hosts all kinds of events. There are regular sports matches as well as show-stopping international festivals and visits. It's held the Special Olympics World Summer Games, FIFA Club World Cup matches and the AFC Asian Cup.
During your visit, you'll be well fed too, with seven unique dining experiences to suit every type of guest. Simple Cafe served up colourful and healthy meals, while Kingpin is the spot for indulgence. There's also a noodle bar, gastropub and frozen yogurt place all on site.
Zayed Sports City is the perfect spot for kids with plenty of energy. The venue runs regular summer camps and there are lots of clubs to try out - including tennis, rugby and Aikido, a Japanese martial art.
If your child’s birthday falls during your time in Abu Dhabi, Zayed Sports City has packages to make them feel like a true VIP, with activities such as bowling, ice skating, football and paintball.
Zayed Sports City is located in the Al Mushrif neighbourhood. There are several entrances, but the main way in is via Airport Road.

Leave Yas Island and join the E10 towards Abu Dhabi’s centre. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the mesmerising Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque on your right.
Head away from the island on the E12 and cross Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, then turn inland on the E10 following signs for the airport before looping past Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Leave the airport on the E20 towards the city, passing Zayed University on your left and crossing the Musaffah Bridge towards Zayed Sports City.
The venue can be easily accessed, with both handicap parking and ramp entry available. If you’re attending an event at the stadium, get in touch to reserve a seating platform.
There are five venues plus plenty of outdoor space that can be hired for a number of events. Approximately 180 events are held at Zayed Sports City every year.
There are several car parks, with more than 7,000 spaces in total. Overnight parking is not permitted.
Changing rooms and lockers are available in the main sports venues, with free locker hire at Zayed Sports City Ice Rink.
Zayed Sports City hosts about 180 events each year across its five venues. These vary from high-scale events such as the Mubadala World Tennis Championship and FIFA Club World Cup to running events and the Family Festival. Keep an eye on their events page for details on what’s coming up.
Zayed Sports City is always open for those looking for a morning run or evening stroll. However, the individual venues have set operating times. Unless an event is taking place, the International Tennis Centre is open from 7am until 10pm Sunday to Thursday, then 6am until 10pm Friday and Saturday. The Khalifa International Bowling Centre is open 12pm until 12am every day.
Yes, Zayed Sports City has plenty on offer for children of all ages, from individual sports to birthday parties. They have classes for children across their roster of sports as well as the ZSC Kids Holiday Camp.
The grounds in and around Zayed Sports City are free to roam, and you’ll likely see people cycling or running here. Roller-skating, skateboarding and scooters are also popular. If you have little ones, there’s a playground close to the International Tennis Centre.
